Your face lit evenly, your phone and iPad held steady and your mic clipped in place, all from one clamp on the desk. This 20cm ring light kit gives makeup tutorial makers and live-stream hosts a repeatable setup with white, soft and warm light. Five pieces, one box, one clamp.
One kit that lights your face and holds your phone, iPad and mic for makeup tutorials and live streams
- poor lighting for makeup tutorials
- no stable hands-free mount for phone or tablet
- needing a separate mic stand for live streaming
- lighting that is too harsh or too cold
Light your face and hold your phone, iPad and mic in one kit
Stop re-shooting shadowed takes and propping up wobbly phones. Clamp it to your desk, pick warm, soft or white light and film steady, even-lit tutorials.
Three light modes, one touch controller

Three colour modes for any face
White, soft and warm modes all sit on one touch controller, with Brightness + and - for fine adjustment. Warm light suits mood-driven tutorials. White and soft keep skin tones true on camera. Turn the brightness down in a bright room and up when the afternoon light fades.

One clamp holds phone, iPad and mic
The flexible gooseneck arms position the phone or iPad holder and the microphone clip from the same clamp base. Set the angle once and the device stays put through a long take. Pair the kit with an adjustable phone stand if you want a second angle on the desk.

Five parts, one box
The 20cm ring light, two holders, a microphone clip and the clamp base come together in one set. Together they cover the lamp, phone stand, tablet mount and mic stand that most home studios end up buying separately.
Set it up in five steps
- 1Clamp the base to your desk
Fit the metal-look clamp base over the desk edge and tighten it. Run the USB cable along the back of the desk.
- 2Mount your phone or iPad
Open the holder, slide in your device and angle the arm so the screen faces you at eye level.
- 3Clip the microphone
Attach the mic clip to the arm at mouth height so the microphone stays out of the frame.
- 4Pick a light mode
Press the mode button on the touch controller to cycle through white, soft and warm light.
- 5Set the brightness
Use Brightness + and - until the face shows no harsh shadows on screen, then hit record.

Questions and answers
The base is built to grip a desk edge without tools, and it works on a standard desk or counter lip. Very thick or rounded edges may need a different spot, so check the edge before you tighten it.
The holder grips a phone or tablet with rubber-lined jaws. Very thick cases can push the device out of the grip, so take off a bulky case for the firmest hold.
The clip is made for a standard microphone that sits on the arm. If your mic is large or heavy, use a separate stand so the arm carries only the light and the phone.
A 20cm ring is sized for a close desk shot with the phone or iPad in the middle of the ring. For a wider frame, sit closer to the camera or step up to a larger ring light.
The ring and arms are plastic, which keeps the kit light and quick to reposition. The gooseneck arms hold their shape once bent. Check the angle after you mount a heavy tablet, since a top-heavy device can droop over time.
It is good value if you would otherwise buy a lamp, phone stand, tablet mount and mic stand separately. This set covers all four in five pieces, so you pay once and clear the desk. If you only film with a phone, a portable phone tripod covers a smaller budget.
