Your mug gets a clean cup. A 304 stainless bird basket hangs on a long chain, holds loose leaves behind fine mesh, and lifts out in one motion. Three pieces, small enough for any desk mug.
Playful bird-shaped stainless steel tea infuser that hangs from a long chain to steep loose tea in any mug
- loose tea leaves floating in the cup
- messy cleanup after brewing
- tea leaves escaping through gaps in the basket
- difficulty removing infuser from hot cup
Steep loose tea in your mug and lift it out clean
Before, every cup meant floating leaves and a gritty sip. After, a stainless bird hangs from a long chain, holds the leaves, and lifts out in one motion.
Built to keep leaves in the basket
- Fine mesh that holds the leaves
The basket walls are fine perforated mesh, and the hinged joint snaps shut so loose leaves stay inside while the tea flows through. Fill it about two-thirds full and the leaves have room to open.
- A chain that lifts it out
A long stainless chain with a hook clasp hangs the basket inside the mug. When the tea is strong enough, you lift it out by the chain without reaching into hot water.
- Steel that stays bright
The basket and rest disc are 304 stainless steel with a polished, mirror-bright finish. Rinse it after each brew and it keeps the shine, and the mesh stays clear.
Steep, lift, sip in three moves
- 1Fill two-thirds
Open the bird basket and add loose leaves, leaving room for them to open. Close the snap joint until it clicks.
- 2Hang and steep
Lower the basket into your mug by its chain and let the tea steep to the strength you like.
- 3Lift and rest
Lift the basket out by the chain and rest the round disc across the mug rim so drips stay on the disc, not the table.

Questions and answers
The mesh is fine enough to hold loose leaves in the basket. Very fine powders can slip through, so whole or broken leaves work best. Close the snap joint before you lower it into the cup.
The basket measures 5.4 x 4.7 x 2.4 cm and hangs inside a standard mug. The chain is on the shorter side, so very tall mugs may need the basket to sit a little lower.
304 is a food-grade stainless steel that handles daily washing and hot water well. Dry it after rinsing and the mirror finish stays bright.
Yes. It works for black, green and oolong leaves, and for dried herbs and flowers such as chamomile and rose buds.
You pay once for a basket, a rest disc and a chain that you can use with any loose tea you already buy. Paper bags cost more per cup over time, and this set takes the place of a spoon and a strainer.
