  The red ball-top joystick sits beside eight red arcade-style buttons, with A, B, X and Y marked on the face. The four small function buttons (-, TB, home, +) sit within easy reach, so menus never mean reaching for a pad.

• Plug in and play

  The 3M USB cable runs from the stick to your console or PC, and the Micro-USB adapter is in the box. Connect the cable, check that your device picks up the stick and the game is one menu away. Setup takes minutes, which is about how long it takes to argue over who goes first.

• Two sticks, one screen

  Double play mode lets two players share one console or PC, each with a stick of their own. The base has suction feet that hold it still on a table, so a hard round does not slide the stick toward the edge. A second player gets in the game without a second setup.

Connected and ready in three steps

   Set the stick on a flat table

   Choose a flat, clean surface and press the suction feet down so the base grips it. On a slick surface the base can slide during a hard round.

   Connect the 3M cable

   Plug the USB cable into the stick and run it to your console or PC. Use the included Micro-USB adapter if your setup needs it. Leave some slack so the cable never pulls on the port.

   Check the platform and start

   Confirm your device picks up the stick, then load a fighting game. For two players, plug in the second stick and choose double play mode if your game supports it.
