Any lamp or fan you already own can turn into a device you control from your phone or with Alexa. Plug the round smart plug into the wall, pair it in the Smart Life app, and switch things on or off without crossing the room. Setup takes minutes and needs no hub.
Turn any plug into a smart plug you control from your phone or with Alexa voice commands
- forgetting to switch off appliances
- needing to be physically near a switch
- no remote control for lamps or devices
- voice control for non-smart appliances
Control any lamp or fan from your phone or your voice
Before, every forgotten switch meant getting up and crossing the room. After, one plug in the wall lets you turn on, off, or schedule any device with the Smart Life app or Alexa.
Simple controls on a clean round body
- Touch power button with LED indicator
Tap the flush button on top to switch the device on or off right at the plug. The LED lights while power is running, so you can read the state from across the room without opening an app.
- Works with Alexa and Smart Life
Pair the plug in the Smart Life app, then link it in Alexa and name it after the lamp or fan. A clear name makes the voice command reliable, and it works from the bed, the couch, or the hallway. Keep the cord tidy with cable organizers behind the outlet.
- Rated for 10A resistive loads
The rating is printed right on the body: 90~250VAC input and 10A resistive maximum. Check your device's wattage against that number before you walk away, and you will know exactly what this plug is built to carry.
The two ratings that decide what you plug in
- 90-250VACInput voltage range
- 10AResistive max load
From wall outlet to voice command in four steps
- 1Plug it into the wall
Push the plug into a standard US-style outlet and check that it sits firm without wobbling. Then plug your lamp or fan into the front socket.
- 2Install the Smart Life app
Download Smart Life from your app store and sign in. Keep your phone on the 2.4GHz band of your router, since many smart plugs will not connect on 5GHz only.
- 3Add the device
Choose add device in the app, enter your Wi-Fi details, and wait for the plug to appear. A busy router can take a few retries, so stay close to it.
- 4Name it for Alexa
Link Smart Life in the Alexa app, then name the plug after the lamp or fan. Say Alexa, turn off the bedroom lamp to test it.

Questions and answers
The plug takes 90~250VAC input and switches up to 10A resistive. Check the wattage on your device's label and stay under that rating. Motor-driven fans pull differently from lamps, so leave some headroom for them.
A space heater is a resistive load, so the 10A figure is the number to watch. Find the wattage on the heater label and confirm it sits within the rating. Do not leave an unattended heater running on the strength of a remote off switch alone.
No. The plug connects over Wi-Fi and runs from the Smart Life app. Once it is added in Smart Life, you can link Smart Life to Alexa and control it by voice.
Yes. Pair the plug in Smart Life, link Smart Life in the Alexa app, then name the plug. A voice command switches it on or off after that.
Most first-time setups finish in one sitting. Plug it in, install Smart Life, add the device on a 2.4GHz network, then name it for Alexa. Keep your Wi-Fi password nearby.
One plug costs far less than replacing every lamp with a smart bulb, and it controls fans and heaters that bulbs cannot switch. Each plug covers one outlet, so buy another for a second room when you need it.
