   Press out most of the air and fold the top edge flat. Wipe away any crumbs or oil along the fold, since they stop the seam from fusing.

   Lift the flip-up lid and slide the folded edge onto the sealing bar so the seam sits about a finger width from the top.

   Press the lid down with one hand and hold until the seam looks flat and fused along its full length. Then lift and check the edge before you put the bag away.
