Hook the elastic loops over both ears. Start with the loops loose, since they tighten as you adjust.

Center the clear panel over your nose and mouth so the white frame sits snug against your face.

Adjust each loop until the shield sits level without pinching. It should stay put when you lean toward the pan.

The front carries an anti-fog surface, so it stays clearer than untreated plastic when steam drifts up from the pot. Dense steam from a boiling pot will fog almost any shield, so tip your head aside and lift lids slowly.
It blocks splatter and spit. It does not block heat, steam or grease fire. Keep a lid nearby and use it alongside normal stove precautions. For the sink side of the kitchen, a sink splash guard covers that spot.
The elastic ear loops adjust for different head sizes. Tighten them until the shield sits square, but stop before it pinches. Set up the fit with the stove off so you know it holds before you start frying.
