Ring light that wraps the subject
The central opening sits over the speedlite head, so light spreads outward around the lens axis instead of falling from one side. Shadows under the chin and across the cheek soften, and the falloff reads as even on close-ups. Flexible rods hold the round shape without a frame.
Control with the silver insert
The silver reflective insert attaches with Velcro and throws extra light forward. Pull it off for a softer result, or keep it on when a small subject needs more punch. The black inner baffle keeps spill from bouncing back toward the lens.

The central hole is sized to slide over a speedlite head, and the ring sits around the lens axis. On close-ups, set the ring a little back from the subject and check the framing through the viewfinder. At very short distances the ring can crowd the lens and cast a shadow.
