Water moves all day when the sun does. This floating solar fountain puts the pump and power in one black disc, so your pond or birdbath stays fresh without a cord across the lawn. Swap the spray heads to change the look whenever you like.
Free-floating solar fountain that aerates garden water with no cords or electricity
- no access to power outlets near ponds or birdbaths
- stagnant or still water in garden ponds
- high running costs of electric pumps
- need for varied water spray styles
Keep your pond moving with nothing but sunlight
Still water goes green and the nearest outlet is far away. This floating solar fountain circulates your pond or birdbath on its own, so the water stays fresh and the cords stay off the lawn.
Solar power that starts when the sun does

Sunlight runs the pump
The built-in panel powers the submersible pump in direct sun, with no wiring between the pump and the house. Set it where the panel gets full light and the water starts moving. The pump needs sun to run, so shaded corners will get little or no spray.

Swap the spray style
The kit includes three or four spray head discs, each breaking the water into a different pattern. A tall and a short extension tube set the jet height, so the same disc can throw a high arc over a pond or a soft mist into a birdbath.

Floats on the surface
The disc is 160 mm across and sits flat on the water, so there is nothing to dig or mount. Wind can push it toward the edge, so a small stone placed on the disc keeps it in the sunny spot.

Questions and answers
It needs direct sun. The pump runs from the panel alone, so heavy cloud or deep shade slows the spray. Set the disc where the panel gets several hours of direct light and it will keep the water moving through the sunny part of the day.
The disc and spray heads are matte plastic built for sitting outside in sun and water. Rinse the nozzle every few weeks and lift debris off the surface, and it stays in service through the season without any extra care.
It suits small garden ponds, birdbaths, pools and large planters. The jet rises a few centimetres above the panel, so the movement is strongest near the disc. On a bigger pond, place it where you want the surface to move most.
Yes. Twist off one spray head and fit another, then add the tall or short extension tube to set the jet height. Changing the look takes a minute and needs no tools.
No wiring and no mains power. The built-in solar panel powers the pump directly, so there is no cable to run across the lawn. Once it is on the water, the sun covers the running cost.
A mains pump needs a long outdoor cable and an outlet close to the water, and it adds to the power bill every month. This unit costs nothing to run after purchase, and the spray styles give you several looks from one kit, so you are not buying extra pumps to change the effect.
