Description

A soft, thick flannel prayer mat that turns a cold tile or hard wood floor into a comfortable place to pray. The embossed pile cushions knees and forehead at home, at the office and on trips. It folds small enough to carry and comes in four solid colors.

Thickened, soft embossed flannel prayer mat with a shell-shaped arch, portable and available in multiple colors

Solves
  • hard or cold floor during prayer
  • need for a portable prayer surface
  • slipping or unstable floor covering

Pray on a surface that feels like home

Stop kneeling on cold, slippery floors. A thick, embossed flannel mat cushions every prayer at home, at work, or on the road.

Crafted for every daily prayer

  • Thick, velvety flannel pile

The pile is short and thickened, so it gives knees and forehead a cushioned surface where a thin mat would feel like the bare floor. Press a hand into it and it springs back, which is what you want after the fifth prayer of the day.

  • Shell arch and gold trim

The shell-shaped arch, the geometric emboss and the gold metallic border give the mat a dignified look that suits a family home or a guest room. The gold tassel hangs at the top and the fringe finishes the bottom edge.

  • Portable for every prayer

The mat is light and folds down small enough for a work bag or a carry-on. Unroll it in an office corner, a hotel room or a relative's living room and the prayer spot is ready.

Keep the pile soft for years

  • Wash cool and gentle

Use a cool, mild cycle. Skip harsh bleach.

  • Air dry flat

Keep it away from direct heat or hot dryers.

  • Fold when fully dry

Damp flannel folded tight can crease the pile and trap moisture.

  • Lift by the body

Keep pulls off the tassel and fringe to protect the trim.

Questions and answers

Is the flannel thick enough to cushion knees on hard floors?
w
Wanelo · seller

Yes. The thickened pile sits between your knees and tile or hardwood, so each prostration feels softer than a thin plastic or cotton mat. It is a short, dense pile, so it stays firm enough to kneel on without sinking.

Does the back stop it from sliding on smooth tile or wood?
w
Wanelo · seller

Lay it on a clean, dry floor and it stays where you place it. On very slick tile, a thin rug pad underneath keeps it steady through a full prayer.

How do I fold it for travel without damaging the gold trim?
w
Wanelo · seller

Fold the body of the mat loosely and keep the tassel and fringe outside the fold. Lift it by the body, never by the trim, and it packs into a bag without crushing the arch.

Can I wash it, and how should I dry it?
w
Wanelo · seller

Wash it gently on a cool, mild cycle. Air dry it flat away from direct heat, and fold it loosely only once it is completely dry. Heat and bleach dull the gold trim and flatten the pile.

Is it worth it compared with a basic prayer mat?
w
Wanelo · seller

A basic mat is cheap, but it slides, it is thin and it is rarely dignified enough for a guest room. This one is a single purchase that covers home, office and travel, so you are not buying a second mat for the office or the car.

Which color suits a small office or a shared family space?
w
Wanelo · seller

Champagne cream and blush pink read light and suit a shared room or a bright office. Chocolate brown and burgundy wine hide dust and fit a darker room or a family space with children.
