How to wear them correctly from day one

   Start with clean, dry feet

   Wash and pat the feet fully dry before putting the socks on. Damp skin reduces the natural grip of the SEBS material and allows the sock to drift during movement. If applying over a moisturiser for overnight treatment, let the cream absorb for two minutes first.

   Locate the heel cup and align the arch cutout

   Hold the sock with the heel cup facing down and the arch cutout toward the inner side of the foot. On the beige variant, thread the big toe through the toe separation slot to anchor the position. Stretch the sock over the heel and smooth any folds at the Achilles edge.

   Check the fit before walking

   The top edge should sit just below the ankle bone without digging in. The arch cutout should align with the natural hollow of your arch — if it is pressing the medial sole, rotate the sock slightly inward. A correctly positioned sock should feel snug but not constrictive.

   Inside shoes: put the shoe on before standing

   Sit down and put the shoe on while seated rather than stepping into it while standing. This prevents the sock from folding at the heel as the foot slides in. Once laced or fastened, stand and take two steps — the SEBS grip should hold the sock firmly in place.

   For overnight use: elevate slightly if possible

   When wearing overnight with a heel cream or balm, place a folded towel under the feet to reduce any pressure on the heel cup and allow the moisturiser to work without friction. Remove in the morning, rinse the socks under cool water, and air dry flat.

The problem with full-sleeve gel socks

Solid gel sleeves cover the entire foot, trapping heat between the silicone and skin. Moisture builds up, bacteria thrive, and the very area you are trying to heal stays damp and irritated. Toes crammed into a closed gel tunnel create pressure rather than relieve it. Wear them inside shoes and the fit becomes impossible — they bunch, slip, and overheat within minutes.

Keeping the SEBS material in peak condition

• Hand wash only

  Cool or lukewarm water with mild soap. Do not machine wash — agitation degrades the SEBS compound over time.

• Avoid bleach and solvents

  Chlorine bleach, alcohol-based cleaners, and solvent-based products cause surface degradation and reduce elasticity.

• Air dry flat

  Lay flat away from direct sunlight or radiators. High heat causes thermoplastic elastomers to stiffen and lose their cushioning properties.

• Store away from sharp objects

  Silicone and SEBS surfaces can be nicked by keys or nail scissors. Store in the original packaging or a soft pouch between uses.
