Description

Your morning pour-over, with no paper filters to buy or throw away. The reusable stainless mesh and heat-resistant glass carafe sit on your counter like any other kitchen tool, and the markings show exactly how much you are brewing. Pick 200ml for one cup or 400ml for the whole pot.

Paperless pour-over brewing with a reusable stainless steel filter and heat-resistant glass carafe

Solves
  • ongoing cost of paper filters
  • paper waste
  • measuring brew volume by eye
  • hot carafe handling

Your pour-over ritual, zero paper filters.

Tired of buying filters you throw away every morning? Brew with a reusable stainless mesh and a heat-resistant glass carafe that measures as it pours.

A reusable mesh that replaces every paper filter

Fine stainless steel mesh cone with black silicone-tipped handle

Reusable stainless mesh

The brushed stainless mesh catches the grounds and lets the coffee oils through, so each cup tastes fuller than a paper-filtered one. Rinse it under the tap after each brew and it is ready for the next morning. Nothing to restock, nothing to throw away.

Coffee pouring from a glass carafe spout into a clear cup

Heat-resistant glass carafe

The high borosilicate glass carafe handles hot brewing water and lets you watch the brew rise. The black silicone sleeve gives a secure grip when the carafe is warm, so you are not reaching for a towel. Glass is recyclable and does not hold onto old coffee smells.

Graduated volume markings

Marks at 100, 200, 300 and 400ml run up the glass, so you stop pouring at the line you want. No kitchen scale needed for a single mug. The 200ml size covers one cup and the 400ml covers a full pot.

Pour, wait, and pour the cup

  1. 1
    Rinse the mesh and carafe

Run hot water through the mesh and the glass before you start. This clears any dust and warms the carafe so it does not take a shock from the first pour.

  2. 2
    Add grounds to the mesh

Put medium grounds in the mesh, level them with a light shake, and set the cone on the carafe.

  3. 3
    Bloom the grounds

Pour a small amount of hot water over the grounds and wait while they swell and release gas.

  4. 4
    Pour to your marking

Pour the rest slowly in stages until the water level reaches the line for the size you want. Fast pouring pushes fine grounds through the mesh.

  5. 5
    Let the faucet drip

The V-type faucet lets the brew flow into your cup without dribbling down the side. Lift the mesh away once the carafe is full, then pour and enjoy. Keep your set near the sink so the next brew is one step away.

Questions and answers

Does the stainless mesh let fine grounds into my cup?
w
Wanelo · seller

Some fine sediment gets through, more than paper allows. Pour slowly in stages so the bed does not flood, and let the grounds settle for a moment before you lift the mesh. A little sediment at the bottom of the cup is normal with a mesh filter.

Is the glass carafe heat-resistant for hot water?
w
Wanelo · seller

The carafe is made from heat-resistant glass for hot brewing water. Warm it with a little hot water before the first brew, and avoid pouring boiling water into a cold carafe, since sudden temperature change stresses any glass.

Does a paperless filter brew as clean as paper?
w
Wanelo · seller

Paper holds back more oils and fine particles, so its cup is lighter and cleaner. The mesh keeps more of the body, so the cup tastes fuller and rounder. Most people switch for the taste and stay for the savings, since a paper box is a repeat purchase and the mesh is a one-time buy. Plan on about 400 days of daily use on the 200ml size.

What is the difference between the 200ml and 400ml sizes?
w
Wanelo · seller

The 200ml carafe makes one mug and fits a small counter or a travel bag. The 400ml carafe makes a full pot for two or more people, so it suits the office or a household. Both use the same mesh and the same markings.

How do I clean the mesh so it does not clog?
w
Wanelo · seller

Rinse the mesh under running water right after each brew, since coffee oils dry and block the fine weave. Wash it by hand every few days with a soft brush, then let it dry fully before storing. The glass wipes clean with warm water.
