Chops onions, peppers and mushrooms into even cubes in one press, without grinding your hands
- tearing up while cutting onions
- uneven vegetable pieces
- slow manual dicing
- messy cutting board cleanup
Even cubes in one press, hands off the blade
Tired of teary eyes and uneven chunks every weeknight? Press once, and your onions, peppers and mushrooms land in neat cubes in a clear tray.
One press, one even dice

Press once, cut evenly
The stainless steel grid sits under a hinged pusher lid. Halve an onion, set it cut side down, close the lid and press. Onions, peppers and mushrooms come out in pieces of the same size, so they cook at the same pace. For a few vegetables, a manual vegetable chopper beats a knife and board on speed.

Keep hands off the blade
The pusher lid sits between your fingers and the grid, so your hands stay above the cutting surface while the vegetable goes through. Nothing has to be held against a blade, and the press is the same whether you are dicing one onion or a pile of mushrooms.

Clear tray, clean counter
Pieces drop straight into the clear container under the grid. You can see the cubes as they fall, then tip the tray into the pan, or close the lid and store the leftovers. There is no cutting board to scrape afterward.
Three steps from onion to cubes
- 1Halve the onion
Cut it through the root end so the halves sit flat. Quarter very large onions.
- 2Load it cut side down
Set the piece on the grid so it lines up with the blades, then lower the pusher lid.
- 3Press once and collect
One firm press sends the cubes into the clear container below. Lift the lid, slide the tray out, and move the dice to the pan.
Quick rinse, dry, and store
- Rinse right after use
Onion and pepper residue dries into the grid, where it is harder to clear and can smell.
- Dry every part
Dry the grid, lid and clear container before you put the chopper away.
- Clear jams by lifting
If a piece sticks, lift the lid and reload a smaller portion. Forcing it can strain the plastic and the hinge.

Questions and answers
For one onion, a sharp knife is fine. If you prep onions or peppers most weeks, the minutes add up. One press per half replaces several minutes at the board plus the cleanup that follows, and the chopper stays on the counter instead of in a drawer.
Halve or quarter large onions and trim big mushroom caps so the pieces sit flat on the grid. Oversized pieces can jam the lid and leave the cubes uneven. Smaller, flat-sided pieces dice most cleanly.
The blade is 304 stainless steel. Rinse the grid right after use and dry it before you store the chopper. If a piece sticks, lift the lid and clear it instead of forcing the press.
The body is made from PE, PC and ABS, with TPR parts. It is a light, everyday kitchen tool for chopping, so treat the lid and hinge gently and skip forcing a jammed press.
A knife gives full control but takes practice to get even cubes, and the board needs scrubbing after every onion. The chopper gives consistent pieces with less cleanup. If you still want a knife for the rest of your prep, you can browse chef knife options.
