Your pothos stays moist while you are on the road or stuck at work late. The spike sits in the soil and draws water from an ordinary bottle, so there is no pump, no cord and nothing to babysit. Come home to soil that is still damp and leaves that are still green.
Keeps your indoor plants watered automatically using an ordinary water bottle
- forgetting to water houseplants
- soil drying out during travel or busy weeks
- over- or under-watering
Your plants stay watered while you're away
Forgot the pothos before a trip? Screw a spike onto any standard bottle, set it in the soil, and come home to a plant that still looks alive.
A slow drip powered by gravity alone
- Gravity does the watering
The porous spike lets water seep out slowly as the soil pulls moisture from it. The plant drinks at its own pace, and the bottle empties on its own schedule. No pump, no cord, no battery to replace.
- Any bottle, one setup
The screw-on cap fits standard PET water bottles, so the bottle you already have becomes the reservoir. Fill it, cap it, and the kit is ready to go.
- A coil that holds its line
The flexible brown tube bends without kinking and drops neatly over the rim of the pot. Once the spike is in the soil, the line stays where you put it while you are gone.
Set it up in five minutes
- 1Soak the spike
Put the porous spike in water until it is saturated. This lets water start moving through it right away.
- 2Fill the bottle
Fill a standard PET bottle with clean water. Keep the bottle clear so you can watch the level drop.
- 3Attach the cap and tube
Screw the cap with the spike onto the bottle neck, and connect the coiled tube to the spike.
- 4Place the spike in the pot
Push the tip into the soil about halfway down the root zone. Let the tube hang over the rim, then stand the bottle beside the plant.

Releases water slowly into the soil

Questions and answers
No. The spike releases water slowly, and the soil takes up only what it can hold. Set the tip about halfway down the root zone, not at the very bottom. Water that pools at the base is what rots roots.
Standard PET water bottles with a screw-on neck. The dark green cap threads onto the bottle, and the coiled tube runs from the bottle into the pot.
That depends on the pot size, the plant and the light in the room. Do a test run before you leave, watch how fast the level drops, and pick a bottle size that covers your trip. On a long absence, plan on a top-up.
It works best in a pot that is deep enough for the spike to sit in the root zone. The tube is short for very tall pots, so check the reach before you buy. Test the drip rate in your own pot for the first week.
A bottle and a wick works, but the guesswork is yours. This kit gives you a porous spike built for slow release, a tube that stays put, and a cap that seals the bottle. You reuse bottles you already own, and there is nothing to refill beyond water.
