Picture a patch that fills in green after one afternoon with the hose. Hydro Mousse coats grass seed with a mousse additive and sprays it from the garden hose, so the seed stays on bare soil instead of washing into the gutter. The kit gives you the spray head, seed, coating and a canister you can refill for the next repair.
Turn a garden hose into a seeding system: spray-on grass seed that coats, treats and stays put, growing a lawn where you spray it
- Bare or patchy lawn spots
- Dog urine spots
- High-traffic worn areas
- Shaded areas where grass struggles
Your garden hose becomes a seeding crew that grows grass where you spray
Bald patches and dog spots have ruled your lawn long enough. Hook up the hose, spray the seed, and watch the bare soil turn green.
One hose, one dial, one even coat
- Seed that stays put
The mousse additive wraps each seed so it clings to bare soil while you water. You get a coat that stays in the strip instead of drifting onto the path.
- Hose-powered venturi spray
The venturi spray head pulls seed and coating through the hose using the pressure you already have. No battery, no pump, no second tool to carry around the yard.
- Light or heavy, you choose
The dial runs OFF, Light seed and Heavy seed. Start on Light, then move to Heavy only if your water pressure is strong enough to keep the spray even.
Prep, load, spray, and water
- 1Prep the soil
Pull out debris and loosen the top layer of soil so the seed can reach it.
- 2Load the canister
Add the grass seed and one Mousse Additive into the canister.
- 3Attach the spray head
Set the dial to OFF, attach the spray head to the garden hose, then turn on the faucet.
- 4Fill and pick a setting
Turn the dial to Light seed until the bottle is about a quarter full, then turn it off. Set the dial to light or heavy based on your water pressure.
- 5Spray evenly
Hold the unit about 4 feet off the ground and spray the area evenly and steadily.
- 6Empty and water
Turn the unit upside down and run water through to empty it. Water three times daily and keep the soil moist until seedlings reach 3 inches.

Questions and answers
Yes. The dial is there for that reason. Start on Light seed, and switch to Heavy seed only if your pressure is strong. Heavy seed on weak pressure can clog the head and leave the coat patchy.
The Mousse Additive coats each seed so it clings to bare soil while you water it in. Dog spots are one of the listed uses. Keep the soil moist for the first few weeks, because that steady moisture is what roots the seedlings.
Up to 100 sq ft for overseeding a thin lawn, or 50 sq ft for a brand-new lawn. Two doses of coating come in the box, so plan the first session around those two loads.
Dog spots are a listed use for this kit. Rake out the dead grass and loosen the soil first, then spray and water three times daily until the seedlings reach 3 inches.
A spreader drops seed where the wind and rain want it, and the bald spot stays bald. This kit ships the seed, the coating and the spray head together, and the canister is refillable and reusable. Spring and fall repairs become a one-afternoon job every season, with no second tool to buy.
